TRIALS IN FOUR CLUBS 23 CREWS COMPETE Oarsmen had a day out. on Saturday, when all four city clubs decided triai fours for club trophies. Entries cam*: in well and there was a total of 12 crews on the water in the various trials. Auckland, Waitemata and West End succeeded in completing the day’s racing in good time, but St. George’s final was decided fairly late in the day. WAITEMATA CLUB Eight crews from the Waitemata Boating Club rowed in excellent watr from Orakei to the tidal deflector, wher trial fours for the James Reynolds Memorial Gold Cup were decided on Saturday afternoon.
