PERSONAL-Mr. H. McDougall has joined the Wahine as chief engineer, relieving Mr. E. 13. Low for holiday leave. Mr. A. L. Gatland, second engineer of the Aorangi, has rejoined the vessel after holiday leave. Mr. W. A. Scott is now second engineer of the Manuka, relieving Mr. K. J. McLeod for holiday leave. Mr. E. W. Scott has joined the Maori as third engineer, in place of Mr. E. M. Denby, who has transferred to the Tahiti. Mr. P. J. Burns, who has been on holiday leave, has rejoined the tug Terawhiti. Mr. J. Alexander, who has been on holiday leave, has been appointed fourth engineer of the Maori in place of Mr. Dalziel. f Mr. Ken Liddell, chief engineer of the Waimea, has been granted holidays, and Mr. Reg. CANADIAN HIGHLANDER CLEARS BOSTON.—Cabled news has been received by Canadian National Steamships that the Canadian Highlander arrived at Boston on January 12. and left on January 13 for Halifax. The vessel left Auckland on December S for New York, Boston and Halifax. HAURAKI DUE FRIDAY.—The local office of the Union Company has been advised by radio that the trans-Pacific cargo ship Hauraki is expected to arrive at Auckland on Friday from the Pacific Coast. After discharge here, the vessel proceeds to Wellington, Melbourne. Adelaide and Sydney, to complete. TREWORLAS LEAVES NEW YORK.— Zealand Shipping Company, agents for the A. and A. Line, have recabled news that the Treworlas left New York on January 16 with cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland on February 15. INDIANOLA FROM ANTWERP.—The New Zealand Shipping Company has received advice that the steamer Indiansailed from Antwerp for Auckland and New Plymouth on January 8.
