FALSE ALARMS AT ONEHUNGA

Three false alarms of fire were received by the Onehunga Fire Brigade

during the week-end. On Friday night the alarm came over the phone from a locality outside the brigade’s district. At 12,20 on Sunday morning a call came from the box at the corner of Grey and Spring Streets. This was evidently the work of boys, as a resident in the locality heard two boys talking and laughing just as the siren sounded the alarm.

The third alarm came from Norman View' Road at 9.40 last evening.
