Dr. Chesson, notified the Thames Borough Council that the analysis of the water taken from the Kirikiri and Omahu streams was excellent, and should be of good quality for potable use. The water is to be used for a water supply at the Hikutaia end of the county. Complaints were received from residents of the Thames Coast and Hikutaia against the speeding of motorists. At the latter place the speeding was dangerous to the school children, and the Coast Road was unsafe for fast travelling. Cr. McCormick gave notice of motion that the speed limit be 15 miles on the Coast Road. The matter will be discussed at the Februarv meeting of the council.
