PA OFFERED TO CROWN

URENUI NATIVES’ GENEROSITY (Kns SLHJt Ol tvtOßds) NEW PLYMOUTH, Friday. During the present silting of the Native Land Court at New Plymouth the three native owners of the Urenui Pa, Rihunia, Wharepa, Tiki Inia Tuhata and Toenga Inia Tuhata, agreed to hand over the seven acres of the pa to the Crown, in trust as a native cemetery and scenic and historic reserve. If the Crown accepts the gift and the conditions, the pa will be vested ni the New Plymouth Reserves Board, and it is understood that the older Maoris will still have the right of burial in the pa.
