Cecil B. De Mille, noted Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer producer, is maka world-wide offer of £4OO for the best ideas submitted to him from which talking pictures can be made.
Each, idea is to have a maximum length of 200 words, and all efforts are to be addressed to: De MiTle Contest Committee, 225 Varick Street, New York.
The closing date for receipt of en tries in New York is March 15. The prizes havt been divided into a first prize of £2OO, and nine other prizes totalling £2OO. A similar worldwide contest was responsible for the idea that produced “The Ten Commandments,” the response to which was enormous, and included sugges-
tions from countries all over the world. The present quest is the outcome of the movie-going public’s keen interest in the screen’s latest innovation, offering a big and practical stimulus in locating worth-while screen ideas.
