MUNICIPAL BAND AT ZOO

A delightful programme will be presented by the Municipal Band in the Zoological Park on Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock. The first half will be devoted entirely to works by Beethoven, and comprise "Egmont” overture, march from “Fidelio,” Minuet in G, the Andante con moto from the Fifth Symphony, Godfrey’s arrang.unent, “Reminiscences of Beethoven, and hymn, “The Emperor.*’ The second portion will include cornet and euphonium solos by Messrs. Bowes and Purchase, Boccherini s celebrated Minuetto, and brightmarches. In the Domain Gardens the Band will again appear in the evening at 8 o clock, when a programme of great charm will include 'The Caliph cf Bagdad’’ overture, selections. “Classical Memories,” and Gounod’s “Faust, piccolo solo, "Silver Birds,” by Mr. Mchcnnan, and cornet duet, "Cheerfulness" by Messrs. Bowes and Morgan, humoresque. "The Coster’s Courtship.” intermezzo “From a Russian Village.” tone poem, “Finlandia,” together with other bright items.
