MYSTERIOUS MURDER

(Australian and N.Z. Press Association) LONDON, Wednesday. The Scotland Yard authorities are still investigating the mystery of the murder of Mr. Vivian Messiter, aged 55, Southampton manager of an American oil company, whose body was found in his garage on January 11. An official statement says the police are anxious to trace William Frank Thomas, aged 32, a motor mechanic, who resided at Southampton with a golden-haired woman of the same age. The statement adds that Mr. Messiter had four distinct wounds in the head.
