BISHOP S BOLD MOVE
MARRIAGES BANNED DIVORCEES AND NON-BAPTISED (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) LONDON, Thursday. The Bishop of St. Albans, Dr. M. B. Furse, has instructed his clergy not to marry anybody who has been divorced or who has not been baptised.
“I am not going to make the word of God a blasphemous farce.” says the bishop. "Tf you do not like it, go to a registry office and say: ‘I take you until you make my life impossible; then I will be off with you.’ That would be honest.”
