PERSONAL.—Captain R. Clark, of the Kurow, has been granted holidays, and Captain J. G. "Watson is now in command of the vessel. Captain R. Huntly is being appointed to command of the Ivoranui, relieving Captain Donald McDonald for his holiday. Mr. R. H. C. Hargreaves, second officer of the Tamahine, is at present ashore on leave, his place being taken by Mr. W. Kehoe, the second officer of the Ivanna. Mr. J. W. Thomson, chief officer of the Ivanna, has transferred- to the Corinna, relieving Mr. F. D. Johnson for private leave. Mr. A. W. McDonald is at present second officer of the Kamona. TAMAROA SAILING.—At 6 a.m. tomorrow the Shaw, Savill, and Albion liner Tamaroa leaves Auckland for Southampton and London, via Panama. Passengers must embark this evening. TREKIEVE SAlLS—Shortly after 7 o’clock this morning the Hain’s Line, steamer Trekieve left Auckland for Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin to discharge the balance of her New York cargo. TOFU A LEAVES SUVA.—Cable advice received by the local office of the Union Company states that the Island passenger steamer Tofua left Suva at 2 o’clock yesterday afternoon for Auckland, where she is due next Monday. CARGO FROM EAST CANADA.—A cable message from Colon reports the arrival of the Canadian Conqueror, en route from Halifax to Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is due here on February 11. ULIMAROA FOR AUCKLAND—The Huddart, Parker’s intercolonial passenger steamer Ulimaroa is to leave Sydney at noon to-day for Auckland, where she is due next Tuesday morning. The Ulimaroa is the only passenger steamer arriving at New Zealand ports next week from Sydney.

SURREY TO COMPLETE—The Federal steamer Surrey is to leave Tokomaru Bay late to-morrow evening for Auckland, where she is due on Monday to complete her loading under the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Company. She is to be dispatched finally from this port on January 2d for New York, Halifax and London, via Panama. RUAPEHU DUE MONDAY—To continue her loading, the New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Ruapehu leaves Nelson at 2 o’clock this afternoon for Auckland, w’here she is due next Monday. She will berth at the Queen’s Wharf. From this port the vessel proceeds to Lyttelton and Wellington to complete loading and sails linally from Wellington on January 21 for Southampton and London, via Panama. CORNWALL ARRIVES—The Federal steamer Cornwall ai'rived in the stream at Auckland this morning from Liverpool and later berthed at the Prince’s Wharf to unload the local portion of her cargo before proceeding to Wellington, Lyttelton, Port Chalmers and New Plymouth to complete. The vessel loaded at West of England ports and sailed from Liverpool on December 9. Fair weather was experienced throughout the voyage. Captain Lamb is in command of the Cornwall.
