SUMMER TROTTING CARNIVAL DECISION OF EXECUTIVE At a committee meeting of the Otahuhu Trotting Club, held yesterday, Mr. H. R. McKenzie presiding, the programme for the summer carnival to be held on February 23 and 27 was further discussed. It was eventually decided to extend the limits in the following events (the original limits set are given in parentheses) FIRST DAY Trial Handicap—Limit, 3.47 (3.433). Open to trotters that have not won in better than 2.26 to the mile. Papakura Handicap—Limit, 4.36 (4.35). Otahuhu Cup—Limit, 4.32 (4.30). Open to horses that have done 4.34 or better. President’s Handicap (trotters’ race) —Limit 4.40 (4.38). This event has been placed fifth on the card instead of sixth, as previously. Alount Albert Handicap—Limit 4.40 (4.38). To be run after the President’s Handicap. SECOND DAY Suburban Handicap—Limit 5 minutes (4.55), open to trotters that have not won in better than 2.26 to the mile. Dominion Handicap—Limit 4.32 (4.30). For horses that have gone 4.34 or better. Alexandra Handicap (trotters’ race) —4.40 (4.38).
