FIGURES FOR DECEMBER Press Association "WELLINGTON, Thursday. Tho total live births registered for urban areas in December was 1,017, as against 1,082 in November, a decrease of 65. The deaths in December were 503, a decrease of 11 as compared with the previous month. Of tho total deaths males numbered 251, females 252. Fifty-three of the deaths were those of children under five years of age, being 10.54 per cent, of the whole number. Of these 39 were under one year of age.
