At the inquest at Gisborne concerning the deaths of two Maoris from Whakatane. who were killed when a motor-lorry capsized on December 29 on the Tarawa Hill, the coroner returned a verdict that the men were killed by the overturning of the truck, which got out of control through the failure of the brakes. —P.A.
