ITALY AND VATICAN
STATE HAS A FREE HAND (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) ROME, Wednesday. It is pojnted out that the agreement referred to yesterday was between the representatives of the Holy See and the Italian Government. The latter officially remains entirely free to accept, modify or reject it. Admittedly the representatives were authorised to exchange views and produce a definite plan.
