Infant Killed when Motor-Car Capsizes
THROWN THROUGH WINDOW PARENTS ESCAPE INJURY (Special to THE SI S) HEIiEN W< inesday. A two-year-old child, Dawr. Douglas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Douglas, of Te Kopuru, was killed on the Kaukapakapa Road, eight miles from Helensville, to-day. The family was travelling by car, Mr. Douglas being at the wheel. The wheels were caught In a rut and became locked, causing the car to caplii an effort to save the child. Mrs. Douglas threw the infant . ut of the window, but the car turned over on it, causing injuries which were fatal. The other occupants of the car were uninjured. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas arrived from Auckland about six months ago and established a drapery business in Te Kopuru.
