HANGING BY RING

WOMAN SUFFERS AGONY (Special to THE SUN J NEW PLYMOUTH, Tuesday. Hanging in mid-air for a few moments by her wedding-ring, Mrs. Wilson, wife of Mr. James Wilson, of Manaia, received such injuries to one finger that it had to be amputated. Mrs. Wilson was standing on a box and reaching into a high cupboard when the box collapsed. Her weddingring caught on a hook and she hung for a few moments, fainting as she fell to the floor. Her finger was badly lacerated and she lost a good deal of blood. Her small daughter .summoned help and the sufferer was taken to hospital. The ring was pulled elliptical by the strain.
