TAUMARUNUI STOCK SALE
(From Our Own Correspondent) TAUMARUNUI, Tuesday. The stock market for the 1929 terms has opened well in this district, and at the second sale of the year, held to-day. a large yarding in all classes except pigs met with a ready sale ,at satisfactory prices. Much of the stock went to localities in the southern King Country. Pigs.—Weaners, 15s to 16s. Sheep.—Fat ewes, 295; two-tooth wethers, 27s 7d to 2Ss 6d; small two-tooth wethers, 25s lid; old rams, 10s 6d; small two-tooth ewes, 31s lOd; good two-tooth ewes, 34s Sd; lambs, ISs Id; cull lambs, 11s 7d; special line of 303 four and sixtooth and five-year-old ewes made 30s Id. Cattle.—Fat bullocks, £9 10s to £9 11s; fat cows, £8 12s 6d to £8 15s; special line two and a-lialf and three-year-old steers, £S 14s; two-year-old steers, £6 to £7 3s; three-year-old steers, £9 3s; forward bullocks, £ll 12s 6d; cows and calves, £7 15s to £S 10s; 15-months steers, £3 17s 6d to £5 19s; two-year-old heifers, up to £6 14s.
