305 GUINEAS FOR RAM
FEILDING STUD SHEEP SALE Press Association FEILDING, Tuesday. The first stud sheep sale of the west coast stud breeders, was held to-day, there being a large number of entries. Of the Romneys sold to-day the best price was 305 guineas, which was paid by Mr. R. Tanner, of Longburn. for a ram bred by Mr. A. L. Wheeler, of Hunterville. The same vendor sold another ram at 130 guineas to Mr. D. G. Forlong. of Feilding, on behalf of the E. Short Estate. Rams were also sold at 300 guineas and 200 guineas. Mr. E. E. Short paid 250 guineas for a ram offered by Mr. O. E. Allen, and Mr. W. Rowland, of Rongotea, secured 160 guineas for a Romney. Mr. A. F. Carr, of NewSouth Wales, paid 165 guineas for a ram bred by Mr. Short. There was no sale for stud ewes. PRIZE LAMBS FROM N.Z. (Australian and N.Z. Press Associationj Reed. 10.55 a.m. LONDON. Tuesday. A parcel of prize lambs from the New Zealand Royal Show was exhibited at Smith field and was very favourably commented on. The judges placed Mr. H. R. Green's Lot 731 first and Mr. L. B. Wall’s Lots 722 and 723 second and third.
