Duncan, New Zealand manager for Dominion Motors, arrived in Auckland this morning by the Limited from Wellington. Mr. Leon Harris, factory representative of the Auburn Automobile Company, U.S.A., leaves to-morrow for ■Wellington and Christchurch. Dr. Allan Macdonald, formerly of Auckland, has received the appointment of house surgeon in the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton. England. Mr. F. W. Nixon, of the Bay of Islands, and his brother, Mr. J. W. Nixon, of Alaska, who has been visiting New Zealand on a holiday tour, left for Vancouver last evening by the Aorangi. Mr. E. Casey, Divisional Superintendent North Island Railways, and Mr. T. F. Mackley, locomotive engineer, left for Wellington last evening by the UmiteJ. The Minister of Railways, the Hon. \V. B. Taverner, will return to Wellington to-morrow. He will begin a tour of the North Island lines at the end of the month. Mr. Reginald Back, who for the last IS years has been resident agent for the Union Steam Ship Company at rian Francisco, arrived in Wellington by the Tahiti on Tuesday on «* holiday visit to New Zealand. Mr. L. G. Armstrong, Mayor of Te Awamutu, intimated at the meeting of the Borough Council last evening that he would be severing his connection with the council at the end of his term of office.
