BUSY COURTS
MANY ERRING MOTORISTS HOLIDAY ACCUMULATION Police and magistrates wilted in the heat as they worked furiously in the Courts this morning in a successful endeavour to clear off the arrears of traffic cases that had accumulated since the holidays. Particularly heavy lists were dealt with, over 160 charges being made. The business was quickly dispatched, however, and the Magistrate’s Court, over which Mr. E. C. Cutten, S.M., presided, concluded the list of city prosecutions shortly after noon. The Police Court will sit until fairly late in the afternoon, Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., presiding.
