STABBED IN CHEST

(Special to THE SUN) ' DUNEDIN, Tuesday. Suffering from a wound in his chest caused by being stabbed with a knife. X. Childs, aged 21, was admitted to the Dunedin Hospital late yesterday. Childs, a taxi-driver, drove members of a ship’s crew to hospital to visit a friend. They could not be admitted .it that hour, and were driven back to their ship. Hater in the evening Childs was asked by a friend to go down to visit the Maimoa. He went on board both this vessel and the Bloemfontein, a watchman on the latter ordering him away, and hustling him down the gangway. Childs later complained of being slabbed, but did not say how it happened. His condition is not serious.
