GEORGE WALLACE REVUE
FUN AT ST. JAMES THEATRE The “Oojali Bird” still continues to raise the wind and the laughter at the St. James, under the able control of Mr. George Wallace. George as “Horace” is inimitable and tiie sketch is the success of the evening. But, of course, the rest of the company must not be forgotten. They back up their chief wonderfully well and do some excellent work on their own. The two Dudleys, for instance, with their concentrated cross-talk, give ten minutes of really excellent tooling. Marshall Crosby, too, who sings “Friend of Mine,” and other well-known and popular songs, always delights the audience. The dancers of the show are always enjoyed. Marie Nyman, who sings as well as she dances, leads here and is well supported by Jack Scott and Maida Jones, not to speak of the six rascals and the ballet. Altogether, the show is one of the best of its kind that has visited Auckland for a long time, and anyone going to the St. James can be sure of an evening of delightful entertainment.
