RIN-TIN-TIN AT LYRIC
Rin Tin Tin, the world's best loved dog, is seen at the Lyric Theatre, in a story of the desert country that is ove: shadowing any of the thrilling dramas which have preceded it. There have been 14 Rinty pictures before this on* and with each a growing multitude of friends for the amazing dog who saw the light of day on the French Wa: Front. “Rinty of the Desert,” outcast amor,, his lonely sand dunes, gets to {he city by means of a truck, and there make; himself at home with old man Marlowe and his grand-da ugh ter, Mary keepers of a small museum. Maser a partner pf Marlowe, traps the old man. and when Rinty and Mary; husky lover, Pat Casey of the police go in search of him —Pat is attacked by a strange and ferocious dog, and Rinty is sentenced to be shot as the criminal! Then begins the whirlwind play and counter-play which lifts tr.: onlookers from their seats! A romance of the theatre, with touches of pathos and comedy, is “The Matinee Idol,” the sceond feature.
