RIFLE SHOOTING
AKARANA CLUB There was a good attendance of members at Penrose Rifle Range on {Saturday when the first shoot of the third trophy series was fired over the ranges of 800 and 900 yards, for the trophies presented by Mr. E. Starkey, Mr. S. Elliott and Mr. A. C. Crossan. Ideal weather prevailed, and some good shooting was recorded. On Saturday next the first round c.f the service championship will be fired over the ranges of 25, 200 and 300 yards under strict military conditions, when a good attendance of members is expected. Trophy points were won L»y the three top men in each section. Silver spoons were won by Messrs. H. Dickey, E. Starkey and G. Elliott. Details of the shoot are as follow: A Section (Mr. E.
