gravely ill with heart trouble. Five doctors are attending him. He is in his 78th. year. The heart specialists who are attending the marshal issued a bulletin that for several days he has been suffering from a heart attack, necessiating complete rest. The doctors admit that recently he had several alarming and dangerous attacks. He has been ill some weeks, but the seriousness of his illness took Paris by surprise. Marshal Foch is prostrate and very weak. The doctors are hopeful that a slight improvement to-night means that he has passed the crisis.
