RACES AT MURIWAI The annual beach races of the Sports Motor-Cycle Club and the HarleyDavidson Club will be held at Muriwai on January 20. Racing will start at noon and entries close one hour before the events. Following is the programme: 350 c.c., 10 miles, 9 turns. 500 c.c., 10 miles, 9 turns. Sidecar handicap, 6 miles, 5 turns. Open handicaps (2), 10 miles, 9 turns. The annual reliability sidecar trial will be held on January 29. The course has not yet been chosen, but the distance will be 500 miles, and the event will be timed for an average speed of 25 m.p.h. 1929 EUROPEAN FIXTURES The following dates have been allocated for the principal British and Continental motor-cycle fixtures for the 1929 season: February 16—Colmore Cup Trial. March 229—London-Land’s End Trial. April S—Six Days Stock Trial. May 12—Austrian T.T. May 17—London-Edinburgli Trial. June 10-14 —Tourist Trophy Races. June 30—Czecho-Slovakian Grand Prix Julv 6—Dutch T.T. Races. July 14 —Belgium T.T. Races. July 28—German T.T. Races. August 11 —Austrian Grand Prix. August 26 —International 6 Days Trial. September I—Polish Grand Prix. September 7 —Ulster Grand Prix. September 10—Amateur T.T. Races. September 15 —Grand Prix de Nations. September 18—Swedish T.T. Races. October 6—French Grand Prix. October 20 —Spanish T.T. Races. November 30 —Scott Trial.
