ORDER OF ST. JOHN

ENGLISH DELEGATION’S VISIT PROGRAMME BEGUN Sir John Hewett and his daughter, Mrs. L. E. Atkinson, the St. John Ambulance delegation from England, began the first part of their New Zealand programme this morning. Accompanied by Mr. C. J. Tunks, assistant-commissioner of the ambulance brigade in the Auckland district, and F. J. Hutchinson, senior district superintendent, Sir John and Mrs. Atkinson inspected the Rutland Street headquarters, and later the Evelyn Firth Home for disabled returned soldiers at Point Resolution. A long list of meetings and visits faces the delegation before it leaves for the South on Wednesday morning. This afternoon Mrs. Atkinson is meeting representatives of the nursing divisions, and this evening, members of the Order are giving a reception. .
