SON-IN-LAW SHOT DEAD

QUEENSLANDER ARRESTED FATAL SCUFFLE AT GATE Reed. 11 a.m. BRISBANE, To-day. Having told friends that he expected trouble when he got back, Richard Devers, aged 33, was shot dead at the gate of his father-in-law's house at Woody Point. The father-in-law has been arrested and charged with murder. Devers’s wife had gone to her father’s house, and Devers followed. During an argument a gun was produced. It is alleged that both men struggled for possession of it. An explosion followed and Devers fell to the ground shot in the neck.
