£IO.OOO FLIGHT PRIZE—The Denver ’’Post’’ lias offered a. prize of £IO,OOO for the tirst non-stop flight around the world in an airplane, as nearly as possible along the 40th parallel. The flight must commence and end at Denver. Colorado. —A.P.A.-U.S. PLANE CRASHES. —A Moth plane crashed at Port Melbourne and was badly damaged. The pilot and a. woman passenger were not hurt, and refused to give their names. MOTHS FOR CANADA. —An order for 100 Moth planes has been received bv the De Havilland Company from Canada. This is a record order for British aircraft from one firm. —A. and N.Z. P.A. FUND FOR MINERS. —The Lord Mayor’s fund for the relief of distress in the mining areas now exceeds £ 465 000.
