HOBO WINS BY A SECOND!—The Hobo gained an exciting win over Miss Cleveland in the second speed-boat handicap under the auspices of the N.Z. Power Boat Association on Saturday. There was a difference of a second only between the two boats at the finish of a keen race.
LEADERS OF INDUSTRY IN GREAT BRITAIN—Sir Edward Clark (director of the Underground Railways, London), and Sir Hugo Hirst (chairman of directors of the British Electrical Company, London) arrived by the Aorangi last evening. They were members of the British commission that recently investigated economic and other conditions in Australia.
