Owing to the unfortunate illness of two of the artists who were cast for the parts in “All the King’s Horses,” the management has found it necessary to begin the season this evening with A. A. Milne's brilliant and famous comedy “BELINDA"’ which was specially written for Miss Irene Vanbrugh and Mr. Dion Boucicault. “BELINDA” ran for upwards of three years in London, and in Australia it has been revived on several occasions and it has always proved one of the most successful plays in the repertoire of Miss Vanbrugh and Mr. Boucicault. “Belinda.” which has never previously been staged in New Zealand was recently staged in Sydney and Melbourne and it will be presented this evening with exactly the same cast as on those occasions when it created a furore of enthusiasm.
