“FLAG LIEUTENANT” AGAIN

HIS FURTHER ADVENTURES British Dominions Films announce that the big special for 1928, “The Further Adventures of the Flag Lieutenant,” will shortly be released throughout New Zealand. The photography and general .production is stated to be excellent, attaining a new’ and higher standard in film production. There are some magnificent settings, which include a whole Chinese city, interiors and decks of giant battleships, a Chinese night club, and a wonderful hotel at Shanghai. m The plot of this film is absorbing, and holds the interest from the first reel. There is plenty of action. A riot in Chinese quarters and the storming of the convent and hotel by the maddened Chinese, being among the sensational episodes of this film of intrigue and romance. "The Further Adventures of the Flag Lieutenant” is a very worthy sequel to “The Flag Lieutenant,” the fine British film which enjoyed an enthusiastic reception from New Zealand audiences recently. Henry Edwards takes the part of "Dicky Lascelles,” the hero, and Isobel Jeans makes a very attractive foreign spy.

“Divorce Bound/’ scheduled to begin on Florence Vidor s return from Europe, has been postponed in favour of “Unconquered,” in which Miss Vidor and Richard Dix will star together. Malcolm St, Clair will direct.
