THAMES FIREMEN ENTERTAIN OLD PEOPLE
Last evening the members of the Thames Fire Brigade and their friends paid a visit to the Old People’s Home at Tararu, and entertained the inmates to a musical evening, and also provided refreshments for the old people and their guests. The function passed off well Find the gratitude of the old folk was ably expressed by Mr. Mathers.* During the evening musical items were given by Messrs. J. Bailey, W. Johnson, H. Beech, J. A. Briggs, C. Johnson, Jackson, J. A. Treadaway, H. A. Thomson, L. White and Mr. and Mrs. Hastings. Mr. B. Gleeson presided at the piano.
