SHEEP ON LONG TREK
GISBORNE TO WAIKATO
(From Our Own Correspondent) . OPOTIKI, Friday. About 7,000 sheep are now on the way to Opotiki from Gisborne, the first stage of a long trek to the Waikato. It is expected that fairly large numbers will be passing through Opotiki during the next few weeks, as a favourable season has been experienced. It is not anticipated that a very large number of cattle will be moved to the Waikato this summer.
