GUARDSMEN ACTORS

ENGLISH WILD WEST FILM Four stalwart Horse Guards from Windsor made their film debut as members of the North-West Mounted Police at the British Lion Studios, Beaconsfield. In a typical Canadian small town street an infuriated mob of rougn, unkempt looking men were prevented over and over again from lynching a murderer. The way in which the four soldiers turned motion picture actors for a day, forced the crowd hack with their horses, was a revelation; obviously amateur riders would have caur d untold casualties * among a mob which, in order to make the scene realistic, had to work itself up to a pitch of excitement.
