Moderate Shoe Fashions
No More Loud Ornaments The Season s Changes
After a hectic splash of riotous colour, stilt heels, and large brilliant buckles, shoes have at last come to the conclusion that moderation in all things is a wise policy. Gone are the blase designs we welcorned in the spring, and in their place modes that are superb for attractiveness and grace. Stilt heels are not as popular as when first introduced, and enormous buckles have given place to neat bows or tiny ornaments.
Shoes that feature, diamante strap buckles are otherwise quite plain. Red shoes with ''iiamante buckles are ideal when worn. with simple white frocks. BVue kid shoes are being worn instead of black, although black court shoes are always fashionable. Other cotou-'fs such as green and yellow ha/ye passed into oblivion. i Fancy pla/.t'sd straps are again the vogue, and vounded toes you must have to be; up to the minute. Basket sh/oes are proving very suc- | cessful. T/he fashion of basket bags with shoe/s to match shows that in ; shoes, at. any rate, milady still clings i to the ' hnatching” principle.
