RIPENING TOMATOES

TF you have been growing ■*' tomatoes in the open air, you are just now probably left with a good many green ones upon your hands which are difficult to ripen. This is a method which will colour them and make them fit for use. Wrap each tomato separately in a piece of paper, pack in a box, and place in a warm spot. The kitchen mantelpiece is usually about the right temperature. In four or five days they wMI have ripened.
