Valeska, completed a capital programme. FINE PICTURES AT BRITANNIA The bright sophisticated drama, “A Certain Young Man,” starring Ramofi Novarro, now showing at the Britannia Theatre, is one of the most entertaining of films. It is not so much the theme as its treatment. Each character brings to his or her part poise, sophistication, innocence or a worldly-wise assurance that add fresh zest, new flavour to each little incident and scene. It is not only because Ramon Novarro is the starring player, but, more important, he plays a role entirely unlike anything he has had before. In this picturisation he is a charming, gallant nobleman by birth a "ladies’ man” by circumstance —seeki ing experience among women, but playing safe by confining his efforts to the married ones. There is no | eternal triangle, no strong loves of fierce hates. Elis so-called "affairs and ‘’conquests” are handled with g delightful delicacy and captivating subtlety. . A "Finnegan’s Ball.” a comedy of irisn ; life, is also being shown.
