Net profits of the New Zealand Refrigerating Co.. Ltd., for the year ended October 31, 1028. were £45,072, according to a preliminary announcement made by the directors. A dividend of 5 per The net profit in 1925-26 was £4,690 and no dividend was paid: last year the profits were £60.589. and the company paid a dividend of 5 per cent, with a special bonus of 21 per cent., as “some •mpensation” for the non-payment of a dividend in the previous year. A balance ..f £43,219 was carried forward, so that the total available for distribution is £8.8,291. The dividend will absorb £31.815, and as the remaining third of the interest in shares of the Wanganui Freezing •'oinpany, £12.103. has probably been written off. the balance to the next account "-ill bo £44,373.
