ceeder by a neck for second place. Time, 3.25 i (a State record). Jeniidar ruled second favourite. Another ex-New Zealand gelding, Phoenix Park, won this race 12 months ago, and ho was weighted at 9.0 (top) for last week’s contest. Jeniidar, who is a younger halfbrother to Inferno, was raced in New Zealand by Mr. E. L. Riddiford, but the only race he won was a Novice Plate run at the Woodvllle meeting in the summer of 1927.
