The first Cabinet meeting of th* I New Year has been called by tn c j Prime Minister, Sir Joseph Ward, lor Thursday, January 17. By that time i it is expected that ail the Minister, will be in Wellington, and Sir Josepn Ward expects that all his colleagues will attend. f It is anticipated that matters ° policy will be discussed. Apart iron that, a number of items of departmental importance are awaiting approval by Cabinet, and probably series of meetings will be necessary’ * catch up with the arrears of document needing attention. . There are now 10 of the 13 at their offices at Parliament Bull - ings. The remaining three, the ai* " ister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. • A. de la Perelle, the Minister of Ka-i----ways, the Hon. W. B. Taverner, ana the Minister of Native Affairs, , Hon. Sir Apirana Ngata, are expect j to arrive in the course of a few days.
