CYCLIST HITS TOW-ROPE

CRASH ON COLLEGE HILL While riding down College Hill on his bicycle about 10 minutes to eight this morning, Ernest Archer, of 79 Ardmore Road, Herne Bay, crashed into a tow-rope between two lorries. lie was thrown heavily and had to be taken to hospital by the St. John Ambulance. He is reported to have a broken jaw and slight concussion. Early this afternoon the hospital authorities reported that Archer, who is 16 years of age, was still unconscious. He is suffering from severe head injuries, and his condition is serious.
