In the markets, new potatoes are bringing 2s 6d to 4s 6d a bag; kumaras. 2d a lb; cabbages, 1s to 1s 6d a dozen: caul ifiowers, 4d to 1s each; spinach, 9d to 1s a dozen bundles; beet, carrots, parsnips and turnips, 8d to 1s 3d a dozen bundles; spring onions, 4d to 9d a bundle; green peas, 2s 6d to 5s a bag; lettuces, 6d to 2s 6d a case; and beans, 2s 6d to 3s 6d a bag.
