SCHOONERS HUIA AND PIRI —A prolonged trip from Dunedin to Greymouth was made by the Nobel auxiliary schooner Huia. which left Dunedin -it December ;;i. and reached Greymouth last night. The vessel is half-loaded with timber from Auckland, and she also has a small quantity of explosives. The explosives will be unloaded at Greymouth, and tl»e vessel is to till up with timber at that port for Sydney. The Piri, now at King’s Wharf, is to load timber for Hobart at Auckland, and she will proceed to Greymouth to complete loading timber. Explosives will also be loaded at Auckland for New Plymouth and Greymouth. After unloading her timber cargo at Hobart, she will go to Melbourne to load explosives for New Zealand.
