ODDFELLOWS MEET

PAEROA JUBILEE LODGE The first meeting for 1929 of the Loyal Jubilee Lodge, No. o'* 4 6, Paeroa, Chester Unity Order or Oddfellows, was held in the Returned Soldiers’ Club, Pa \dv?ce la waJ U received that the Auckland District Grand Master. PO. Walter Gubb.-of Tuakau, would visit the lodge on January 22. Arrangements in connection with the visit Were completed and an invitation was extended to aclmeeting decided to convey congratulations to Past F.S. Bro. Walter North P.G., a former secretary of the lodge,’ who was married during the h L3LP.G. aSO Bro. W. Power tendered his resignation as L.M. and auditor ow ing to the fact that his work necessitated periods of absence from Paeroa. Eulogistic reference was made to the vices of Bro. Power to Jubilee Lodge and the Order, and it was unanimously decided to place on record the appreciation of the lodge. Bro. C. F. J. Gwilliam, P.G.. At ®tlie* 6 Auckland District Conference Manchester Unity, to be held In Auckland during March, two remits from Jubilee Lodge will be presented. The lodge had for consideration the proposed remits of Manchester Unity Lodges of .the Thames Valley, these having been circulated by the Thames Valley Past Grands Lodge. The annual Christmas tree function was reported on by the secretary, P.G Bro. J M. Fox. Bro. Fox was congratulated #1 the success of his efforts.
