SAVED WOMAN FROM DROWNING Press Association INVERCARGILL. Wednesday. I While bathing at Bluff on New Year’s Day Miss Isobel von Tunzelmann, of Invercargill, got into difficulties, but was saved from drowning by the prompt and plucky action of a young girl, who disappeared afterwards without disclosing her name. It was learned to-day, however, that , the girl who made the rescue was « Daphno Scheib, a high school girl living at Cromwell and visiting Inver- : cargill on holiday. It is considered that Miss Scheib’s splendid performance is deserving of recognition by the Royal Humane Society.
