INTOXICATED MOTORIST

SALESMAN FINED £lO (Special to THE SUN / TE AROHA, Tuesday. A fine of £lO was imposed in the Police Court to-day upon Richard James Bentley, motor salesman, Morrinsville, for being intoxicated while in charge of a car. Constable Manson said that at 10.40 on Saturday morning defendant was found in his car on the Morrinsville side of the traffic bridge in an intoxicated condition. It was mentioned that the defendant was an expert driver and that his licence was necessary to his present occupation. In view of these facts it was decided not to cancel or suspend the licence.
