HOUSE RANSACKED

DAYLIGHT THEFT OF £l2 ONEHUNGA WOMAN’S LOSS An impudent daylight theft occurred in Onehunga yesterday. Between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2.45 p.m. a house in Amaru Road was entered and the sum of £l2 stolen. Mrs. Alice Hotchings, of Amaru Road, left .her home at 11 o’clock yesterday morning and returned shortly before 3 o’clock. When she entered the house she found everything in disorder. The intruder had searched the house thoroughly and Mrs. Hotchings found that £l2 in notes, which were in a drawer, were missing. Nothing else had been taken, and it was evident that the thief’s only object was money.
