HARBOUR ASSOCIATION TO MEET IN AUCKLAND

LAUNCH EXCURSION ARRANGED On January 30 the Harbours Association of New Zealand will meet in Auckland for its biennial conference. Sessions will be held on January 30 and February 2 and on January 31 the visiting delegates will be the guests of the Auckland Harbour Board at a launch excursion round the harbour. It is expected that 70 delegates will attend the conference as well as the members and principal officials Auckland Harbour Board. The Hon. J. G. Cobbo, chairman of the Wellington Harbour Board, will preside over the conference, but if he is unable to attend Mr. H. R- Mackenzie will probably take the chair. The sessions of the conference will be held in the rooms of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce. Mr. A. G. Barnett, secretary of the Wellington Harbour Board. is also the official secretary of the association. Until recently the association always held its meetings in Wellington, but during the Dunedin Exhibition it was decided to make a change and hold the sessions alternately in the various centres of the Dominion.
