EMDEN’S DESTROYER TO BE SCRAPPED
Reed. 1(1.30 a.m. CANBERRA, To-day. The Commonwealth Government has decided that H.M.A.S. Sydney, which destroyed the German cruiser Emden during the war, must be scrapped. The Prime Minister announced that this course would be taken without further delay.
